Itzhak Perlman Teaches Violin
Itzhak Perlman, regarded as the current violin virtuoso, started playing the instrument as a young boy. As a teenager, he captivated audiences on international television and enrolled at the Juilliard School, where he now teaches. He has earned 15 Grammy Awards, four Emmy Awards, and the Presidential Medal of Freedom throughout the years, making him one of the most renowned classical violinists in the world.
Mr. Perlman, who is renowned for his superb technique and playing style, has played at some of the most prominent music venues and occasions in the world, including President Barack Obama’s inauguration and a state banquet for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the White House. He has performed on the violin and led orchestras for several ensembles, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. Mr. Perlman has spent the past 20+ years dedicating his time to music education through his work with the Perlman Music Program and at the Juilliard School, in addition to international tours and an ever-expanding record. He is now sharing his love of teaching with a larger audience for the first time.
