Born in York, Pennsylvania, Jeff Koons obtained a BFA at the Maryland Institute College of Art. His “Balloon Dog,” “Rabbit,” and “Puppy” sculptures are his most well-known works. The Whitney, Centre Pompidou, Museo Jumex, and Guggenheim Bilbao are just a few of the prestigious galleries and organizations that have displayed his work.
Jeff has received several honors during his career, including the Golden Plate Award from the Academy of Achievement and the Governor’s Awards for the Arts Distinguished Arts Award from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. During their terms, former American Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former French President Jacques Chirac both gave him awards on behalf of their respective nations. In New York City, Jeff resides and works.
